What to know
Nine types are offered, and each writes a different standard payload into the code. URL stores the address as typed and must begin with http:// or https://. Email becomes mailto: with optional subject and body, phone becomes tel:, SMS becomes SMSTO:number:message, location becomes geo:latitude,longitude, and text stores whatever you type.
Wi-Fi uses the WIFI:T:WPA;S:name;P:password;; format with WPA, WEP or open networks and a hidden-network flag. The contact type builds a vCard 3.0 with name, phone and optional email, organization and website, and the event type produces a VCALENDAR with a VEVENT. Special characters are escaped for you.
Design controls include four presets, six dot styles, six corner styles, a two-color gradient and a center logo. The Chatcument mark is placed by default; upload your own image and set its size between 12 and 32 percent of the code. Error correction defaults to H, which tolerates roughly 30 percent damage and keeps a center logo safe.
Exports are PNG, SVG or WebP from 320 to 1600 px, with a quiet border from 0 to 48 px in steps of 2. Dark and marker colors must keep at least 4.5:1 contrast with the background, otherwise the page asks for darker colors before exporting. Everything is generated in the browser, and the Copy button copies the payload text, not the picture.

Quick answers
What does a phone-number QR code contain?
The text tel: followed by the number, for example tel:+34911234567. The phone offers to dial it after a scan, and the field accepts digits, spaces and + * # ( ) - . characters.
Why does the URL type reject my address?
It only accepts complete addresses beginning with http:// or https://. Use the Text type if you need another scheme.
Why is export blocked on a pale color?
Dark, marker and gradient colors must reach 4.5:1 contrast against the background. A message shows the current ratio so you can darken the code or lighten the background.
Can the Wi-Fi code hide the password?
No. The password is stored in the pattern, and anyone who scans it can read it. Use it only for networks you are happy to share.
