Worked example

A pin in the wrong country means swapped or unsigned numbers; a rejected form means commas, degree symbols or out-of-range values.

A pin far from where you expected almost always means swapped values or a missing sign. Check that latitude is in the first field. For a spot in the western or southern hemisphere, both or either number must be negative. Retype from a map long-press, regenerate and rescan. If the pin shows up in the middle of an ocean, the pair is probably 0,0 or a lost minus.

If the form says "Enter a valid latitude and longitude", look for a comma used as a decimal separator, a degree symbol, letters such as N or W, or a value beyond 90 or 180. Convert degrees-minutes-seconds to decimals first. A pair copied as "37.5665, 126.9780" must be split into two fields.

If the scan shows only geo:37.5665,126.9780 as text, the reader does not launch maps. Try the camera app or another scanner, and print the street address next to the code. A static location code is not live tracking and will not follow a moving person, so a vehicle on the road cannot be shown by it.

If the pin is 20 to 50 m off, your coordinates were rounded to three or four decimals; paste five or six. If the printed code will not scan outdoors, glare and scuffs are the usual cause: raise the quiet border, use dark colours on a matte white panel, and keep error correction at H.

Input

37.5665, 126.9780

Output

geo:37.5665,126.9780

A pin that is wrong in the preview scan is a data-entry problem; fix the two numbers, not the pattern.

How do I check a code before printing or sharing it?

Scan the exported file at its final display or print size, including after adding a logo or changing colors. Check the decoded content, not just whether a scanner detects a code. Test the destination link and keep clear space around the code. Decorative illustrations on this site are not usable QR codes or barcode samples.
