QR and barcode tools — free online tool

Create QR codes for URLs, Wi-Fi, contacts and events; customize their appearance or generate CODE128 and EAN-13 barcodes. Scan the exported file before sharing.

The category has three tools. The QR code generator covers nine payload types: URL, Wi-Fi, email, phone, SMS, contact card, map location, calendar event and plain text. The barcode generator makes CODE128 and EAN-13 codes as SVG. AnimationQR shows a 3D scene that settles into a scannable code for a short link.

Choose by what the scanner has to do. A phone camera should join a network, add a contact or open a map, so use a typed QR payload. A shelf scanner or a warehouse label printer reads linear codes, so use a barcode. A presentation, a screen at an event or a landing page that wants attention suits AnimationQR.

A static QR code carries its data inside the pattern, so it never expires and nothing is tracked. More data means a denser pattern, which is why 10 characters of text scan more easily than a long address. Error correction defaults to H, size runs from 320 to 1600 px and the quiet border from 0 to 48 px.

Before printing, scan the exported file with a real phone at the final size. The tools report an error when the code color has less than 4.5:1 contrast against the background, since pale-on-white codes fail in poor light.

How do I check a code before printing or sharing it?

Scan the exported file at its final display or print size, including after adding a logo or changing colors. Check the decoded content, not just whether a scanner detects a code. Test the destination link and keep clear space around the code. Decorative illustrations on this site are not usable QR codes or barcode samples.
