Choose PNG for slides and documents, SVG when a print shop will scale it to a window sticker or A3 poster, and WebP for a web page. Keep a text file with the exact payload so you or a colleague can rebuild it in a minute.
Picture a repair shop that prints one code for the counter, one for flyers and one for van doors. Give each a separate file name and, if you want to know which one works, vary the draft text slightly, such as "Counter: quote please" and "Flyer: quote please". The message tells you where the customer found you, without any tracking.
A common mistake is ordering a large print run before the shop confirms the number it wants customers to text. Because the number is in the pattern, a change means a reprint. Confirm the number with the owner in writing, and keep the old line forwarded for as long as old stickers exist.
