Treat the PNG as your master and the JPG as a one-destination copy, with a file name that says which is which.

Chatcument names each result with a -convert suffix, so product-logo.png arrives as product-logo-convert.jpg. Rename it before sending, for example product-logo-1200-white.jpg, so the size and the baked-in white background are obvious to whoever receives it. Keep the PNG in a separate folder and never overwrite it with the JPG.

Many marketplaces and form uploads accept JPG but not transparent PNG, or they limit file size and pixel dimensions. Exact limits change, so check the platform's current upload guide for the maximum bytes and dimensions before you convert, and confirm the 1200 × 1200 px source already fits.

The common mistake is sending the JPG to a designer who then tries to place it on a coloured banner and finds a white square. Send them the PNG, or tell them the JPG has a fixed white background.

To make the process repeatable, gather similar PNGs, up to 12 and 48 MB, run them together, and download the results into one dated folder. Open one file from the delivered folder on the destination site's own preview before you upload the rest. When in doubt, send both files with a one-line note saying which one is the editable master.

If the destination shows a preview crop, check that the white corners of a logo do not look like a box on its own page colour.
