Hand over the PNG as a lossless working copy of a JPEG, not as an upgrade, and keep the original next to it.

Chatcument saves each result as the original name plus -convert with a .png extension, so poster.jpg arrives as poster-convert.png. A name such as poster-v1-lossless.png tells the next person that the pixels came from a JPEG at its full 3000 × 2000 px and that editing can continue from there.

Check the destination before you send it. A slide deck, a design tool or a print vendor that asks for PNG is a good fit, but a PNG of 9 MB can break an email attachment limit or a form that caps uploads. The exact limits change, so look at the platform's current guide, and consider a resized copy for screens and the full-size file for production.

The mistake to avoid is delivering the PNG as if it were an original. Say in the message that it was made from a JPEG, so a designer does not assume it holds more detail, and so a printer knows what resolution to expect.

To repeat the job reliably, keep originals in one folder and PNGs in another, convert in batches of up to 12, and note the batch date in the folder name. A colleague can then redo the work from the same JPEGs without guessing.
