Choose which offered option to prepare: Original quality is the default, and smaller video sizes such as 720p may be listed.

Pick Original quality when the file is an archive, will be edited again or will be played on a large screen; every extra encode costs sharpness. Pick a smaller option when the clip is only for a quick review by email or chat, because a 30-second vertical clip is often in the tens of megabytes at the highest quality and noticeably less at a lower one.

Consider a social team that needs the Reel for two things: an archive and a proof for a client who reviews on a phone. They prepare the original once for the archive, and a lower option once for the proof. They do not try to scale the small copy up later, because resolution that was never saved cannot be recovered.

The usual mistake is assuming a resolution before the preview loads, such as expecting 1080 × 1920 and being surprised by something smaller. Options are whatever the service returns for that Reel, so read the list, check the orientation, and do not promise a client a size you have not seen.

There is also an audio-only entry in the tool family, for which the default is MP3 at 192 kbps, but audio taken from a Reel is covered by the same permission question as the video, and licensed music is not yours to reuse. If your goal is a clip for posting, keep the video option and edit the sound in your own editor.
