Social downloads covers seven networks: Instagram, Threads, YouTube, TikTok, X, Facebook and Xiaohongshu. Every tool follows the same order underneath. You paste one public HTTPS link, a preview with title, duration and resolution appears, and only then do you pick the file you want.

Start with the generic SNS downloader when you are not sure where a link comes from, because it recognises hosts such as youtu.be, fb.watch, t.co, xhslink.com and instagr.am by itself. Open a single platform page instead when you want the form to refuse links from anywhere else, which suits a workflow that only ever handles one network.

The platform pages then split by content type. Instagram separates posts, Reels and carousels, Threads separates posts, videos and photos, and YouTube offers videos, Shorts and an audio-only route. TikTok splits videos from photo posts, X has posts, videos and photos, Facebook has Reels, videos and posts, and Xiaohongshu has notes, videos and photos.

Playlists, live streams, profile pages, private posts and anything behind a login are out of scope. A post with several images arrives as one ZIP of up to 20 files, a single file is capped at 750 MB by default, and the prepared file stays available for 15 minutes by default, so save it straight away. Tick the rights box only for material that is yours or that you hold written permission to keep.

Can every public social link be downloaded?

No. Use only media you own or have permission to save. Availability also depends on the source platform and the media in that post. Private, protected, and sign-in-only content is outside the supported scope. A public URL alone does not grant reuse rights or guarantee a successful download.
