SNS downloader — free online tool

Paste one public link from Instagram, Threads, YouTube, TikTok, X, Facebook or Xiaohongshu; the platform and content type are detected for you.

What to know

This is the auto-detecting entry point. Whatever you paste is parsed as a URL first, and it must use https, carry no port or username, and sit on a known host. The accepted hosts include instagram.com, instagr.am, threads.net, threads.com, youtube.com, youtu.be, tiktok.com, x.com, twitter.com, t.co, facebook.com, fb.watch, xiaohongshu.com, xhslink.com, xhsurl.com and xhs.cn.

Once the host is known, the path has to look like a single piece of content. A YouTube watch link needs its v parameter, an X link needs a numeric status id, a Facebook link needs a reel, video or post path, and a Xiaohongshu link needs a note id or a short link. A bare profile or home page is rejected with a message saying that profiles are not supported.

The detection notice names the network it found, then the preview loads after a short pause. You see the thumbnail, the duration for video, the pixel size, and a number of items if the post holds more than one picture or clip. The format list below it is built from what that particular source can really supply, so two links can show different choices.

Because one form covers everything, it cannot know your intent in advance. Use it for quick one-off jobs and for pasted links of mixed origin, and go to a platform page when you need a stricter filter or want a page that explains the quirks of that network.

  1. Paste a link such as https://youtu.be/… or https://fb.watch/… into the Link field; no platform needs to be chosen first.
  2. Read the notice that names the recognised network, and check the thumbnail and duration in the preview card.
  3. In the radio list, keep Original quality or switch to a step such as 480p, or choose an audio row like MP3 192 kbps.
  4. Confirm the rights checkbox, press Prepare selected file, and use Download file when the progress bar reaches 100%.

Quick answers

Why does the form say the link is invalid when it opens in my browser?

The check is strict: the address must start with https, must not include a port or login part, and must belong to one of the supported hosts. A link copied from an app with extra text around it also fails, so paste the address alone.

Does it matter which tab or page I paste a link into?

On this page it does not, since the host decides the platform. On a platform-specific page the same link is refused with “This link belongs to a different platform.”

What happens to links shortened by the app, like xhslink.com or fb.watch?

They are accepted as long as the short path has the expected shape, and the service follows them to the real post. Query strings on these short links are kept so the redirect still resolves.
