Threads downloader — free online tool

Save public Threads posts from threads.net or threads.com links: attached videos as MP4, photos as images or a ZIP, plus audio from clips.

What to know

Threads links come in two shapes: /@username/post/CODE and the shorter /t/CODE, each optionally ending in /media. Both the threads.net and threads.com hosts are accepted, and the form removes the tracking query string such as ?xmt=… when you leave the field.

A Threads post can hold text, photos, a video, or a mix. The service looks at the media attached to the post: when it finds a video it offers an MP4, and when it finds pictures it offers the images, bundling several into a ZIP of up to 20. Profile pictures are filtered out and so are tiny thumbnails under 320 pixels on the long side, so avatars do not end up in your archive.

The text of a post is not part of the download. A text-only thread has no file to save, so the preview step reports that the public media is unavailable instead of producing an empty download. Replies in a long thread are separate posts with their own links.

Threads is built around conversation, so a post often quotes or screenshots other people. If a photo shows someone else’s work, a private message or a person who did not agree to be shown, saving it for personal reference is one thing and republishing it is another. Credit the author and ask before putting their media in a campaign.

Quick answers

Which Threads addresses does the form accept?

Links of the form /@name/post/CODE and /t/CODE on threads.net or threads.com, with an optional /media ending. A profile page such as /@name on its own is refused as a profile link.

Why does a post with only text return an error?

There is no image or video attached, so no file can be prepared. The service reports the media as unavailable rather than saving the text.

Will a profile photo appear in the ZIP of a photo post?

No. Images whose description marks them as a profile picture, and images smaller than 320 pixels on the long side, are skipped.
