The preview will appear here after you select a file.
What to know
This page opens on the Add text watermark button. It creates a selected text layer near the lower right corner, about 5 percent in from the edges, with white text and 100 percent opacity as the starting values. Type your line in the Text field, choose a color, and drag the box to where you want it.
The text is rendered in a heavy system font. Its size follows the height of the box, and the letters are stretched to the width of the box, so pulling a corner proportionally keeps the lettering natural while holding Shift stretches it wide or narrow. An empty text layer cannot be exported, so the tool asks you to enter text or remove the layer first.
Choose the color against the picture, not for it. White text vanishes on a snowy or overexposed corner, while black disappears in shadow. A mid-tone such as light gray at 50 to 60 percent opacity is readable on most photos, and a second layer in a contrasting color slightly offset can act as a manual outline.
Common lines are a copyright symbol with a name, a website address or a short label such as DRAFT. A watermark in a corner is easy to crop, and one across the middle is harder to remove but covers the subject, so place it according to how you will use the picture. There is no diagonal or tiled option; add several text layers instead.

Quick answers
Why does the tool refuse to export my text watermark?
A text layer with no characters is blocked. Type something in the Text field or remove the empty layer, then apply again.
Can I rotate the text diagonally?
No. There is no rotation or tiling, so add several text layers placed at different spots if you want wider coverage.
What color is best for a watermark?
One that contrasts with the area underneath. White fails on bright corners and black fails in shadow, so a mid gray or a color picked per photo at about 50 to 60 percent opacity is safer.
Will non-Latin text work, such as Korean or Japanese?
The text is drawn with the browser system font, so characters your device can display are drawn. Check the preview before applying to confirm the glyphs appear correctly.
