Image watermarking — Verify the result
Image watermarking — Verify the result: Open the exported file at the size your audience sees and check the mark is readable, well placed and not…

The preview will appear here after you select a file.
Worked example
Open the exported file at the size your audience sees and check the mark is readable, well placed and not covering anything key.
The result is named after the source with -signature-watermark, so market.jpg becomes market-signature-watermark.jpg. Chatcument keeps JPG, PNG or WebP as they came in and falls back to PNG for other inputs, and it saves with 92 percent quality. Check the type and the pixel dimensions in the file properties, which should equal the source.
Judge the picture at the real display size. Shrink it to about 1080 px wide, or open it on a phone, and see whether you can read the mark without zooming. A mark that looks clear on a 27-inch monitor can vanish there. Then enlarge to 200 percent and check the edges of the text for jagged or smeared spots.
The mark is flattened into the pixels, so there is no layer left to move. That is the point, but it means mistakes cannot be edited out. If the placement is wrong, go back to the unmarked master and repeat. A usual error is a mark that lands on a face or on the product label.
Finally, compare the marked file with the master side by side. Only the mark should differ. If other parts changed, you probably opened the wrong source.
If you share the file with a client, send the marked version first and keep the unmarked master back until the agreement is settled.
Input
Photograph + logo or text
Output
Flattened marked image
The saved file has the mark baked in, so re-do it from the unmarked original if anything looks wrong.
