What to know

This page runs the product mode, tuned for objects such as a mug, a shoe or a bottle instead of a person. The photo is sent to a server worker and comes back as a PNG with a transparent background; it is not processed inside the browser tab. A batch takes up to 4 files and 16 MB, so four angles of one item fit in a single run.

Expect the cast shadow under the product to disappear along with the backdrop. A cutout on a flat color can look like it is floating, so add a soft shadow of your own in the design tool afterwards. Many marketplaces ask for a white background, and since the PNG has alpha, saving it through the convert tool as a JPG fills the transparent area with white.

Inspect the awkward parts of an object: handles, holes in a strap, mesh, the inside of a glass, chrome that reflects the room and thin cables. Transparent or reflective items are the hardest because the backdrop is visible through or on them. Photographing the product on a plain, contrasting sheet gives the cutout much cleaner edges.

Keep the transparent PNG as your master, then export one version per destination, for example a white square for a listing and a transparent copy for a banner. Compare the result on a dark and a light preview before you rely on it.
