Crop GIF — free online tool
Crop a GIF to 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1 by moving it inside the canvas, then export a trimmed GIF at 480, 720 or 1080 px height.

What to know
There is no free-form crop rectangle here. Cropping works by framing: you choose the canvas shape, then move and scale the clip on the preview, and whatever falls outside the canvas edge is cut from the exported file.
The three canvas shapes are 16:9 (1920 x 1080), 9:16 (1080 x 1920) and 1:1 (1080 x 1080). A 1:1 canvas is the quickest way to make a square avatar or thumbnail from a wide GIF, and a 9:16 canvas turns a landscape reaction clip into a vertical one once you center the subject.
Time can be cropped too. Drag either edge of the clip on the timeline to trim the loop, or split at the playhead and delete the part you do not need. The GIF output starts at 12 fps and uses a 256-color palette generated with diff statistics, which favors the moving parts of the picture.
Output size follows the canvas and the chosen height. At 480 px height a 1:1 canvas gives 480 x 480 and a 9:16 canvas gives 270 x 480, while a 1:1 canvas at 720 gives 720 x 720.

Quick answers
Can I crop to an exact pixel rectangle?
Not by typing numbers. You frame the picture inside a 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1 canvas by dragging and resizing it, and the output size comes from that ratio and the chosen height.
How big is a 1:1 crop at 720 px?
It is 720 x 720 pixels. The canvas is square, so the output width equals the output height.
Will cropping make the file smaller?
Usually, because fewer pixels are encoded per frame, though frame rate and palette matter too. Going from 720 to 480 px on a square canvas cuts the pixel count to 44 percent.
