Download X photo — free online tool

Download the photos of a public X post from a /photo/1 or status link, saved as original images or a ZIP of up to four pictures.

What to know

A /photo/1 ending points at the first photo of a post, but the downloader works from the whole status, so the link with or without that ending returns every picture the post contains. The count in the preview, from one to four, tells you whether you will get a plain file or a ZIP.

The photo list comes from the post’s public embed data. For each picture the preview reads the original dimensions that X stores, which is why the width and height shown are those of the source image rather than the cropped version in the timeline. File extensions follow the picture URL, typically JPG.

No quality ladder exists for pictures, and no audio row appears. If the post also carries a video, the video path is taken instead and you will see durations and MP4 rows, so use this page only when the preview says Image.

Photographs on X are frequently reposted far beyond the person who took them, and the account that shares an image is often not the photographer. Reverse-search an image you plan to publish, credit the photographer, and treat news pictures and memes with watermarks as owned by someone you must ask.

How to use Download X photo — free online tool
  1. Copy the link of the post with the pictures, such as https://x.com/creator/status/1712345678901234567/photo/1.
  2. Paste it and read the preview: it should say Image with a size like 2048 × 1365, plus a count when several photos are attached.
  3. Keep the single Original quality row selected.
  4. Tick the rights box, press Prepare selected file, and open the picture or unzip the archive.

Quick answers

Does ending the link with /photo/2 give me only the second picture?

No. The form only checks that a /photo/N suffix is allowed, and the whole post is processed, so you receive all of its pictures.

Why is the saved size bigger than what the timeline showed?

The timeline shows a cropped and reduced version. The preview and the file use the source dimensions that X records for the picture.

What happens when the post mixes a photo and a video?

X does not combine both in one post, so a status holds either up to four photos or one video. The preview shows which one it is.
