Auto subtitles and a huge subtitle library

Subtitles come in two ways here: found or generated. During playback GOM Player searches for a matching subtitle file, links it and keeps it synced in real time, and the page mentions over 220,000 free multilingual subtitles in its library.

When no file exists, GOM Player+ builds one. Its AI voice recognition writes an SRT file from the audio in more than 90 languages, and the permanent licence lists unlimited AI auto subtitles.

Editing a video is a different job, and GOM Mix covers it with its own AI Subtitles for 18 languages and videos up to 4 hours long. The result lands on the timeline next to your 124 caption presets, so style and timing are adjusted in one place.

The free GOM Player also lists AI subtitle generation and translation into other languages. On Windows it reads smi, srt, ass, vtt, sbv, psb and more, so downloaded subtitle files from other sources load as well.

To try the generating side, GOM Lab provides trial downloads, and Player+ costs a one-time $11.00 for a permanent licence.
