Is Rentcars the company that rents me the car?
Rentcars is a comparison and booking platform that works with more than 350 rental companies worldwide. You compare rates there and pick up the car from the company whose offer you chose.
Do I have to pay the full amount online?
No. You can pay everything online, pay part of the daily rate online and the rest at pickup, or pay the whole amount at the rental counter in local currency. Paying online is usually the cheapest rate.
Which cards and wallets are accepted online?
Visa, MasterCard, Diners Club, Elo and American Express, plus PayPal. At the counter you present a physical credit card, even if you already paid online.
Can I cancel a booking?
Cancelling before the pickup date and time is free of charge. Some companies may charge a fee if you cancel less than 48 hours before pickup, and refunds are processed within up to 5 calendar days after your request.
How does the cashback work?
You earn up to 10% back as credits, shown in yellow before you confirm the booking. Credits can cover up to 30% of the advance charge on a new booking and stay usable for 18 months once they become available.
How old do I need to be to rent?
Some companies require a minimum age of 21 or 25. Drivers who count as young drivers may pay a daily extra fee and face limits on car categories.
