Monica's toolbox has a ChatPDF entry, and the upload icon in the chat box also takes PDFs. Once a file is in, you can ask for a summary or put your own questions to it.
The official file-chat limits are 20 files per session, 20MB per file and 100K characters of text overall. Beyond PDF it reads Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx), CSV, plain text and code, more than 50 formats in all.
Uploading several files together makes cross-document questions possible. Lining up the conclusions of two or three papers, or pulling the key clauses from a contract, fits this well.
Full-text reading mode reads the whole original and spends advanced credits, so it belongs to paid plans. Upload one or two documents on the free plan first to judge answer quality.
