BreachWatch warns you when a password leaks

Once credentials leak, attackers try them on other sites. Keeper says more than 20 billion stolen usernames and passwords from public breaches circulate on the dark web.

BreachWatch is an add-on that keeps comparing your vault passwords with known breach data. A match raises an in-vault alert and flags the affected record as at risk.

The alert offers Resolve or Ignore. Resolve takes you toward changing the password, and a weak value shows a red bar under the field.

Comparison uses hashes created on your device, and Keeper's zero-knowledge design keeps the plain text off its servers. Records are protected with 256-bit AES encryption.

BreachWatch is not part of the base plans, so settle on a plan during the 30-day free trial and add it if you want it.

FAQ

Is BreachWatch included in the plan?

The personal plan page lists it as an add-on, not as part of the standard bundle.

What do I do when an alert appears?

Open the record and choose Resolve to replace the password with a strong one, or Ignore if you already fixed it.

Does Keeper see my actual passwords?

No. Your device hashes the password, the server hashes it again and compares the results, so plain text never travels.
