Reels and TikTok expect a tall frame, yet most cameras record wide. Upload wide footage as it is and you get black bars above and below. Filmora's Auto Reframe has AI follow the action while it changes the aspect ratio, so your subject is not cut off at the edge.
It saves the most effort when one recording has to feed several platforms. Instead of re-editing from scratch for each ratio, Auto Reframe recuts the same video for every platform, which lets you grow across channels without rebuilding the timeline each time.
Pulling short clips out of long footage can be delegated too. Smart Short Clips scans a long video for key moments and produces share-ready clips, which suits a one-hour conversation where only a few exchanges deserve a vertical version.
Vertical frames punish long lines of text. Dynamic Caption adapts so lengthy captions stay readable in both vertical and horizontal layouts, and word-by-word highlighting helps viewers follow along with the sound off. There are iOS and Android apps if you prefer to finish an edit away from your desk.
The two-week free trial is enough to run your own footage through the reframe. At purchase, enter LENAFF5 to knock 5% off.
