Trim audio — Audio trimmer
Cut a section out of any audio file for a ringtone, sample or voice clip: set start and end on the waveform and export 0.1 s or longer.

What to know
Trim audio is the all-formats entry of the trimmer: drop in MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, FLAC, OGG, Opus or WebM, mark the part you want, and the rest is discarded. The original file is never changed, so you can cut it again with different points.
Duration is simple subtraction. Marking 1:15 to 1:45 gives a 30-second clip, and at MP3 192 kbps that comes to 30 s x 24,000 bytes, about 0.72 MB. In WAV at 44.1 kHz stereo the same 30 seconds is about 5.3 MB.
Typical jobs are a ringtone from a favorite track, one quote from an interview, a loop from a drum sample or the best 20 seconds of a long recording for a social post. Check the length limit of the app or phone you will upload to, since the trimmer itself only enforces the 0.1-second minimum.
Zoom in mentally on the edges. Starting a fraction of a second before the sound avoids chopping the first consonant, and ending just after a note decays avoids an abrupt stop. If the cut still clicks, open the clip in Fade and add a 0.1 to 0.5 second ramp.
The output is encoded in the selected format and starts with MP3 at 192 kbps. Choose WAV to keep the exact decoded samples inside the cut.
