Tall skirting boards for high ceilings and period rooms

A room with high ceilings looks unfinished when the skirting is too slight. The tall skirting range starts at 120mm and goes to 400mm, so the board can match the scale of the cornice and the doors.

There are ten standard heights: 120, 145, 170, 195, 220, 250, 270, 300, 350 and 400mm. The most popular choice for a large board is 220mm, and the in-house design team will quote anything taller as a bespoke job.

Thickness runs from 18mm to 25mm and lengths from 3050mm to 4200mm, which means fewer joints along a long wall. Finishes include primer, undercoat and matt grey, and a rebate can be added for pipes or cables.

Period homes suit the detailed profiles. The Period board has the stepped shape of a Victorian original, and the Heritage board has a bolder, more luxurious presence for large, light rooms.

Not sure about the size? Order a bespoke sample at the exact height, which costs £10 plus VAT, and tape it to the wall before you place the order.
