REDMAGIC Astra 2, a compact 185Hz gaming tablet

Many gaming tablets are large and heavy. The Astra 2 is built around a 9.06-inch screen, weighs 363 g and measures 6.9 mm thick, so it holds like an oversized phone. The OLED panel is 2,400 x 1,504 with up to 185Hz refresh, 1,600 nits peak brightness and DCI-P3 colour.

Inside sit a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with the RedCore R4 chip, 12GB or 16GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage, running REDMAGIC OS 11.5 on Android 16. Cooling is AquaCore 2.0 with Liquid Metal 3.0 and a 12,050 mm² vapor chamber, billed as the first tablet with visible liquid cooling.

There are two USB-C ports, and the short-side one carries DisplayPort output. The 8,300mAh battery charges at up to 75W and can reverse charge other gear. Note the IP54 rating, the missing SIM slot and the absence of a charger in the box.

It costs $699 at the store. Add a tagged REDMAGIC accessory and an automatic bundle code saves up to $10; the extra code RMWLCMSAVE10 cannot be combined with other discounts, so use whichever lowers the total more.
