Getting your ticket money back from an airline

Compensation and refunds are two different things. Compensation is the extra payout for the disruption, a refund is simply the price of the unused ticket, and airlines are known to stall on the second.
For that case Lennuabi runs a refund request form that asks for a name, e-mail and phone number. It then contacts the airline for you and, where there is still no answer, takes the claim to court at its own legal cost.
The fee is €19 plus 5% of the ticket price, and it is charged only when the money is back in your bank account. If the airline never pays, the service costs nothing.
Timing varies with the airline, but the site expects the process to stay within a few months. Flights cancelled because of COVID-19 are excluded from compensation, so check your own airline's refund policy for those.
