The Headway trial lasts seven days and belongs to the yearly plan. During those days the whole library of book summaries is open, in text and in audio, along with the daily insights, streaks and spaced-repetition tools that Premium includes.
A trial can be started once per app store account, so it is worth spending it on a week when you will actually open the app. A commute, a few lunch breaks and an evening wind-down are enough to judge whether fifteen-minute summaries suit you.
If you start it through Google Play, the store asks for card details before any trial begins, which is a Google rule for every app. Headway notes that nothing is charged as long as auto-renew is switched off in Play settings before the trial ends.
Not ready to enter a card? The Free Daily Read is a separate way in. It gives you one pre-selected book each day to read and listen to, with no card details required, though the full library stays locked.

How long is the Headway free trial?
Seven days, tied to the yearly plan. It gives access to the whole summary library during that time.
Can I try it more than once?
No. The trial is limited to one use for each app store account.
Will I be charged after the trial?
The yearly plan renews automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel first. Turn off auto-renew in your store settings before then; deleting the app is not enough.
Do I need a card for the Google Play trial?
Yes. Google Play asks for card details before any trial starts. The Free Daily Read, by contrast, works without one.
