Time converter
Convert durations between ms, s, min, h, days and weeks using fixed lengths: 1 day is 86,400 s. Example: 90 min is 1.5 h; 2 weeks is 14 days.

What to know
The time page converts six units: millisecond, second, minute, hour, day and week. Values pass through seconds: 1 ms = 0.001 s, 1 min = 60 s, 1 h = 3,600 s, 1 d = 86,400 s and 1 week = 604,800 s.
Worked examples: 90 min to h is 90 x 60 / 3600 = 1.5 h, 36 h to d is 1.5 d, and 2 weeks is 14 d or 1,209,600 s. A video frame lasting 16.6667 ms corresponds to 60 frames per second.
The day is always 86,400 seconds. Daylight-saving days of 23 or 25 hours, leap seconds, and variable-length units such as months and years are intentionally left out, so use the date calculator for anything tied to the calendar.
The default pair is ms to s. It is handy for translating timeouts, animation durations and API latency figures into human-friendly units and back.
Useful anchors are 1 hour = 3,600,000 ms, 1 day = 1,440 minutes and 1 week = 168 hours. A 30-second video is 30,000 ms, and a nightly job that runs for 7,200 s takes exactly 2 h.

Quick answers
How many seconds are in a day?
86,400, from 24 x 60 x 60. Choose d to s and enter 1.
Why are months and years missing?
They vary in length (28 to 31 days, 365 or 366), so a fixed factor would be wrong. The date calculator handles calendar spans.
How many milliseconds is 2.5 seconds?
2,500 ms. Select s to ms and enter 2.5.
