Filter cost is the real ownership cost of RO. On the M6H, a single M6RF filter lasts up to 12 months or 1,100 gallons, and the store prices it at $59.99.
The G3P600 uses three filters on different clocks. The CF filter lasts 6 months, the CB filter 12 months, and the RO membrane 24 months, so most years you swap one or two cartridges, not all of them.
The A1 splits its filters in two: A1-CF at 6 months and A1-RO at 12 months. The X12 and X16 pair 6 and 12 month filters with a 24-month RO element.
Swapping is quick. The M6 uses a twist-and-pull design that Waterdrop says takes 3 seconds, and the G3P600 filters come out the same way without tools.
Subscribe and Save sends filters automatically and takes 5% off, with free shipping and the option to skip, pause or cancel. Pair it with the $70 off on the M6 hot model and the first year costs less.
