According to Saily's guidance, scrolling social media uses 100 to 200 MB an hour and music streaming around 150 MB. Video calls take 150 to 300 MB, and online games 40 to 150 MB.
Video is the big swing factor. Standard definition runs near 1 GB an hour and HD can reach 3 GB, so downloading shows on hotel Wi-Fi pays off quickly.
A photo in a message costs between 0.1 and 2 MB, which is easy to absorb. Once you have a number, pick the closest size from 1 GB up to unlimited and top up in the app if you fall short.
