Wipes are the chore that eats most of a Rust admin's time. In the panel scheduler you pick a map wipe, a blueprint wipe or both, choose weekly, bi-weekly or monthly, then set the day, time and time zone and add a restart. Keep an automatic backup alongside it so a bad wipe can be rolled back.

The update routine is spelled out too: make a backup, stop the server, press Update, update uMod as well if you use it, then restart. Following that order helps avoid plugins falling out of step after a game patch.

Plugins run through uMod, formerly Oxide. The mod manager installs popular plugins in a few clicks and also accepts your own uploads. If you run a password or whitelist, add players in the panel before they try to connect.

Players join by opening F1 in game and typing connect with your IP and port, or by searching the community list for your server name.
