Drippy's artists paint whatever you send them, including a logo, photo, text or any other idea. A pet photo is a natural fit, since the studio works from a reference image rather than a template.

The painting is done by brush, not printed. That means small differences from the photo are normal, and the team says so up front.

Start on the Design Your Own page with a $39 Silver or $79 Gold deposit. Silver gives one mockup revision, and Gold adds a dedicated artist, unlimited revisions and an accessory pack with colored buckles and extra laces.

The Knotted Soul Air Force 1 shows the style: a hand-drawn bear on beige leather, with weathering and rope laces. It is the closest example in the shop to a character painted on a sneaker.

Most custom pairs cost $280 to $450 and are made in 5 to 6 weeks after you approve the mockup. WELCOME10 shaves $10 off a first order.

Which photo works best?

Send a clear, well-lit picture where the face is easy to see. The artists work from your reference, and the painted result will differ slightly from it.

Can I see the design before it is painted?

Yes. A mockup arrives within 3 to 4 days of the deposit, and the Silver plan includes one revision.

Is the artwork printed on the shoe?

No. The team states that it does not print directly on sneakers and hand-paints each design.
