If the tool does not accept your file, it probably is not an MP4, MOV or WebM video.

MKV, AVI and similar containers are not on the list, and an audio file belongs in the audio converter instead. Convert the video elsewhere or pick the correct tool.

A silent result usually means the video itself has no usable track, for example a screen recording made with the microphone off, or audio in a protected or unusual codec. Play the original with sound; if you cannot hear it there, there is nothing to extract.

If the wrong language comes out of a multi-language video, the tool has no track picker and takes the default one. Export the version you need from the source application, or extract from a copy that contains only that track.

A very large video that stalls or crashes the tab is hitting browser memory, since the whole file is read locally. Try a desktop browser, close other tabs, or cut the video to the segment you need before extracting.

When a message says the media tools could not be prepared, the processing engine failed to load, usually because the network was blocked or unstable on first use. Reload the page and try again; the video stays on your device the whole time. Keep the original video untouched while you test.

The tool reports a general failure for unreadable files, so test with a short, ordinary MP4 to find out whether the problem is the file or the browser.
