Text analyzer
Paste a draft and see its 12 most frequent words with counts, lowercased and ranked. No stop-word filter, so every common word shows up.

Enter text to analyze.
What to know
The analyzer reads your text, lowercases every word, tallies them and shows the 12 most frequent as small chips, each with its count. It answers a different question from the counter: instead of how long the text is, it tells you what the text keeps repeating.
Take the line the cat and the dog and the bird. The chips read the 3, and 2, then cat, dog and bird with 1 each, because words tied on count usually keep the order in which they first appeared. Capital letters never create separate entries, so The and the merge.
Nothing is filtered out. Articles, prepositions and numbers compete with meaningful words, so in an English article the top slots are often taken by the, of and to. Scan past those to find the topic words and any pet phrase you lean on too often.
Only the top 12 are listed, with no percentages and no download, and an empty box shows a reminder to enter text. For a long transcript or a pile of product reviews, paste a representative slice first, since the result is only as informative as the sample you give it.

How to use Text analyzer
- Paste about 300 words of a blog draft or a set of customer reviews into the Text input box.
- Read the first chip, which holds the most frequent word, and note its count.
- Look down the list for a content word that appears 5 or more times and ask whether a synonym would read better.
- Edit the draft in your own editor, paste it again, and check that the repeated word has dropped down the ranking.
Quick answers
How many words does the analyzer list?
Twelve, ordered from most to least frequent. If your text has fewer than twelve distinct words, you simply see all of them.
Does it ignore common words like the and of?
No, there is no stop-word list, so those words appear whenever they rank in the top twelve. Skim past them to reach the topic words.
Is The counted separately from the?
No. Every word is lowercased with the page language rules before counting, so differences in capital letters are merged into one entry.
What does the panel show for an empty box?
It shows the prompt to enter text to analyze. As soon as you type a single word, that word appears with a count of 1.
