What to know
This variant is for checking how often one term appears. The list gives the count for each of the top 12 words, and you can turn a count into a density yourself: occurrences divided by total words, times 100. In the cat and the dog and the bird, the appears 3 times out of 8 words, which is 37.5%.
Take the total from the Words box in the counter, so both numbers come from the same word segmenter. Without that, a hyphenated term such as e-mail would be one word in your head and two in the tool, and the percentage would drift.
No stemming is applied, so run, runs and running are three separate entries, and an analyst who wants the family of a verb must add the counts by hand. In Korean, particles stay attached, which makes 사과가 and 사과는 two different entries even though both mean the noun apple.
Numbers take part in the ranking as well, so a price repeated five times can outrank a keyword. Japanese and Chinese text is split by a dictionary-based segmenter, which can group characters differently from what you would call a word, so treat the ranking there as a guide rather than an exact tally.

Quick answers
How do I calculate keyword density from this list?
Divide the keyword's count by the total from the counter's Words box and multiply by 100. For a 700-word text with 14 hits, that is 2%.
Does running count as run?
No. There is no stemming or lemmatizing, so each spelling is its own entry and related forms have to be added together by hand.
Why are 사과가 and 사과는 listed separately?
Korean particles are attached to the noun in the text, and the segmenter keeps them with it. Search for the stem with Find and replace in Clean if you want to merge them first.
Can a number outrank a real keyword?
Yes. Digits are counted like any word, so a price or year repeated often can reach the top 12 above your topic words.
