Fly often? Register trips ahead of time

If you fly most months, paying for each disruption as it happens is the expensive way to travel. AirHelp+ is built around registering trips in advance, so the cover is already in place when a flight goes wrong.

The map in the app shows how a trip is built. A journey such as Paris to Rome to Barcelona with four flights is held as one itinerary, and one trip from the allowance covers every leg in it.

Nine trips a year is the larger allowance on the international page. Splitting a conference, a client visit and a holiday into three itineraries uses three trips, so plan the bookings you register rather than the individual tickets.

Register each itinerary at least 48 hours ahead through the app or dashboard. Every registration also brings a Fast Track pass for selected airports, so even smooth trips get a shorter security queue.

Members also get live status updates, round-the-clock support and discounts on eSIMs and car rental, which suit people who are always in transit. AHTPO11 takes 11% off Smart or Pro for travellers living outside the US.

FAQ

How many trips does the bigger plan cover?

Nine per year, against three on the smaller plan, as listed on the international page.

Does a multi-city trip count as several trips?

No, one itinerary is one trip however many connecting flights it contains.

I only fly once a year. Is this still sensible?

A single booking can be protected on its own from the free app, which may suit an occasional flyer better than a membership.
